As of August 21 , 2021,  the Rice County Sheriff's Office is canceling/suspending all inmate visitations.
If you need to place money on inmate books, you can mail in a money order to the Rice County Sheriff’s Office or access the Rice County Web Page at ricecounty.us.
If you are an Attorney/ Bondsman needing access to an Inmate/Client, please call 620-257-7876 Option #1 for assistance.

Along with the men and women of the Rice County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the citizens of this community, I am fully committed to providing quality, professional law-enforcement services through the preservation of peace and order, the reduction of crime and fear, and the achievement of proactive problem solving resolutions through teamwork and loyalty to those we serve as well as one another. With community support, our office will continue preparing for the future through viable partnerships, the demonstration of professionalism, the recognition of valuable training and the simple desire to lead by example. We will remain committed to our oaths and focused on our responsibilities as we work towards our goal of consistency with excellence all while integrity remains a necessary standard.

Call 9-1-1 to report an Emergency (motor vehicle accidents, domestic situations, etc) or;
Call 620.257.2363  for non-emergent calls to report any activities that require an officer  (burglaries, thefts, cows out) or for control burn permits.
Call 620.257.7877 Option #1 (Detention) – for all inmate questions and information and to set up a time for fingerprinting for applications, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Starting January 1, 2020 there will be a $25.00 fee for fingerprinting, excluding Concealed Carry
